Why does society expect you to be invisible in middle age?
If you’re ready to rebel against that idea and reclaim your visibility as a woman in midlife, you’ve come to the right place. Laura Pritchett and I are discussing why women in midlife are overlooked and undervalued in our society and what you can do to become visible again.
Laura is also giving us a sneak peek into her upcoming novel and sharing why she chose to tell the story of a woman entering midlife.
This is a beautiful episode about the power of storytelling, connection, and showing up for yourself.
Laura Pritchett is the author of six novels and two nonfiction books, including her latest novel, Three Keys. Her work is rooted in the American West and has been significantly influenced by her upbringing in Colorado. Both her fiction and nonfiction often focus on issues of ecology, conservation, climate change, and social justice. She has been awarded the PEN USA Award for Fiction, the High Plains Literary Award, the Milkweed National Fiction Prize, the Colorado Book Award, and the WILLA Fiction Award, and has been shortlisted for many others. She is the editor of three anthologies on environmental topics and writes regularly for magazines.

You and I both know that in middle age, we’re just getting started! We’ve learned so much in adolescence and adulthood, but there’s so much life left to live. You deserve to be visible. Your story is just as important as anyone else’s, and I want to help you find the confidence to tell it.
