65: Start Reducing Inflammation with Heather Glenn

Start Reducing Inflammation with Heather Glenn

Inflammation. It’s a word that gets thrown around a lot, but how much do you know about it?

In this episode, special guest Heather Glenn is teaching us the basics of what inflammation is, how to reduce it, and why it’s so important in midlife. Heather and I could talk about this forever, but we intentionally made this episode simple and digestible so that you can find all the information you need to get started in one place.

If you want to find out how your body feels when it’s not in a constant state of inflammation (causing fatigue, aches and pains, mood swings, and more) this is for you.

Heather Glenn will be your health detective, guide, companion, and biggest cheerleader on the road to reclaiming your health! As a certified functional nutritional therapy practitioner and holistic health coach, it’s her mission to help burnt-out professional women and moms get to the root cause of why they aren’t feeling well. Through targeted nutrition and therapeutic wellness protocols, she aims to help women regain their energy, focus, and joy in life.

Topics We Cover in This Episode:

  • When inflammation is normal vs. when it’s not
  • The type of inflammation that is causing your health problems
  • Practical things you can do to reduce inflammation in your body
  • Things in your environment that cause inflammation
  • How your genetics affect your inflammatory response
  • The surprising truth about fatty foods
  • The easiest ways to make your diet less inflammatory
  • How to avoid overwhelm when you’re making lifestyle changes
  • One way your body detoxifies itself

Your body is amazing and it does so much more than you realize to keep you healthy and safe. You might be surprised to learn that inflammation is actually a very normal process in your body. The problem stems from the fact that there are so many things in the modern world causing inflammation that your body goes into overdrive. This episode will teach you how to reduce the amount of inflammation in your body so that you can finally be free from the uncomfortable symptoms that are plaguing you.
